Applications for entry
Applications for entry into Overnewton Anglican Community College may be made at any time following the birth of a child and indeed early application is advised.
Application for entry is made on the Application for Entry Form found in the OACC Prospectus.
Each prospective pupil's name will be placed on the College's waiting list on lodgement of the Application for Entry Form. Such placement of the name does not constitute enrolment. It is the responsibility of the family to notify the College of any change in address and personal details.
On a date set by the College, each applicant is required to sit for an assessment of educational needs. Both parents and applicant are required to attend an interview at that time.
In the case of a pupil tranferring into the College from another school the Principal may require copies of reports on the pupil's academic standard from the other school, prior to enrolment at Overnewton Anglican Community College.
The Principal will determine which applicants will be offered a place. In this process, the outcomes of the assessment, the interview, siblings at the College, the length of time on the waiting list and other factors will be taken into consideration.
The Principal will make written offers of a place at the College to suitable applicants.
Upon receipt of advice that a place has been reserved for the student, a non-refundable Entrance Deposit of $750 is required to be paid within 14 days. An offer of a place is considered accepted when the deposit is paid.
One full term's notice in writing to the Principal is required of the intended removal of a pupil from the College. Failure to provide adequate notice will result in one term's fee being charged in addition to the charge for the term in which the pupil was removed.
Please Note: Applicants not born in Australia need to accompany their application with a birth certificate and proof of nationalisation/citizenship.
