OVERNEWTON COUNTRY FAIR 2009 - SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2009.
It feels that 2009 has flown by and with Term 4 upon us the Country Fair Committee is now in top gear again as Overnewton's major fund-raising event draws closer.
The Overnewton Country Fair will be overflowing with old favourites and will also be showcasing a few new stalls and offerings.
Join us at the Country Fair, as it is a great way to do your Christmas Shopping. There are plenty of stalls to look at; the Gift and Christmas Hamper Stall as well as the Craft Stall are always popular. If you want presents for children the Show Bags, Toys and Make-a-Bear Stall is for you. There are Pre-loved Books available for sale in the Multi-Purpose Hall which might also take your fancy. The Groovy Gardeners will be stocking a range of plants for your garden or for gifts. Crystal Jewellery, Novelties and Accessories have a range of goods suitable for any age group.
Edible bargains are to be had at the Cake and Sweet Stall, the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Stall, as well as the Groceries and Paper Goods Stall, so bring your shopping trolly and fill up. You might even pick up something great at the lucky Dip Bottle Stall. Of course the bargain hunter's paradise, Trash and Treasure, Music Shack and the new Vintage Clothing Stall will be full with new and pre-loved items.
We have a great array of rides this year, including the Techno Jump, Sizzler, Hurricane, Baby Farm Animals, Ponies, Giant Slide, Inflatables, Tea Cups, Bumble Bees and many others which should appeal to children of all ages. A wristband can be purchased prior to the day for $28.00 or alternativley on the day for $34.00, which enables multiple rides on these attractions.
There's always plenty to see and do at the Country Fair. There's entertainment on stage all day, showcasing the many talents of our students. Check out this year's Art Exhibition, where we will be displaying artwork from Prep to Year 12 across both campuses. The ever popular Hole in One Golf is back again as is the Street Surfer Bus. Student Street will have lots for the children too - Face Painting, Paint "N" Peel Art, Tattoos, Nail Art, Smash Jaffa, Popcorn, Snow Cones, Fairy Floss. A few new inclusions this year, Plant a Seed, Stomp a Balloon, and lots, lots more.
For adult tastes, there is plenty on offer in our Food Hall including Gourmet Potatoes, Asian Food, Souvlaki, Potato Wedges, Corn on a Stick, Gourmet Ice-cream, Devonshire Tea, Coffee and Wine Bar (proudly sponsored by Witchmount Winery). On offer again this year is Barokes-Wine in a can; a very innovative product that has gained recognition world-wide. Give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised.
So don't miss out on a great day - you will find us at the Taylors Lakes Campus, on Saturday November 7th from 9am to 5pm.
Please note that Eftpos is available if required.
