Career development is a vital part of the ongoing educational growth and development of each student at Overnewton. The LifeChoices program is designed to empower and inform students as they learn to make effective decisions about their subject choices and pathways plans in preparation for their transition to tertiary study or other post secondary options. Overnewton also encourages students to develop the skills and confidence to make numerous career decisions throughout their life.

To assist students, the Careers Centre staff provide access to:

Electronic and paper-based careers information and regular newsletters
Career education and skill development programs
Subject selection assistance
Individualised career assessment, counselling and support
Careers events and activities including the annual Career Expo
Information and support programs for parents
