Our Vision

Assessment

Assessment is ongoing and uses a wide range of formal and informal processes. These include teacher observation, working sampling, skills development and tests. Reporting to parents takes place on a regular basis. Attention is drawn to areas of achievement and to areas of concern through written reports at the end of each semester and the accompanying parent-teacher interview. Interim reports are used earlier in each semester when parents or teachers are concerned about a student's progress or behaviour.

Parents are encouraged to make frequent contact with the College to provide and obtain information about their children's progress. This is often done via the student diary which every student from year 3 - 12 is required to keep. Formal reports in the Junior School are based on skills development and learning outcomes. Letter grades are used to report achievement levels in the Middle School.
