The School Day

Designed for Learning and Wellbeing

Each school day at Overnewton is thoughtfully structured to support meaningful learning, positive routines and strong connections. From the moment students arrive, they are welcomed into a calm, well-organised environment that sets the tone for a successful day.

The School Day at Prep

The school day begins at 8.55am and concludes at 3.25pm.

Teachers are on yard duty in selected areas of the Junior School from 8.30am each day. Students are not supervised on the school grounds prior to 8.30am; therefore, they must attend the Before School Care Program if they arrive before this time.

Junior School students are encouraged to arrive at school by 8.45am, when their teachers will greet them to prepare for the day of learning ahead. Classrooms will be open to welcome students at this time.

Each Home Group will have their own entrance to the Prep-Year 2 building which will be communicated to parents at the beginning of the school year.
