Academic Excellence Recognised at Class of 2025 Dux Awards

Feb 20, 2026 12:02 PM

We proudly celebrated academic excellence at our Class of 2025 Dux Awards Assembly, attended by our Senior School students, Academic Award recipients and their families.

Led by Principal, Emily FitzSimons, and Director of Teaching & Learning, John Lee, the event recognised our highest-achieving graduates, acknowledging the commitment, discipline and perseverance demonstrated by this exceptional cohort.

Our 2025 College Dux, Nathan Yuan, who achieved an outstanding ATAR of 99.90, reflected thoughtfully on his Dux honour and the journey behind his success. He also shared his musical talents with a beautiful violin performance, adding a memorable and personal touch to the occasion.

Following the Assembly, award recipients and their families gathered for a celebratory luncheon, providing a wonderful opportunity to connect and honour these remarkable achievements together.

Congratulations to the Class of 2025 on their impressive academic results.

We acknowledge and pay respect to the Marin Balluk people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which Overnewton Anglican Community College stands. We respect the knowledge that will be forever embedded within the Aboriginal Custodianship of Country and remember the loss of cultures, languages and Lands they have endured. Like the Marin Balluk people, we at Overnewton want to respect the Land, the cultures and the heritages, and learn from those who have come before us in the passing on of knowledge and the teaching of life skills, as well as continue with wise stewardship of our buildings and grounds. We honour their custodianship of this Land and offer them our deep respect.
