All Aboard for Overnewton
Overnewton offers a safe, reliable and convenient transport option for families across Melbourne’s west. With 15 dedicated routes operating exclusively for our students, the chartered bus network supports daily school travel by providing accessible pick-up and drop-off points across key suburbs.
The service is designed to complement public transport, giving families the flexibility to choose the solution that best fits their needs and routines.
Chartered Bus Service
Overnewton is committed to supporting families with a variety of practical transport options.
In addition to public bus routes that service both the Canowindra and Yirramboi Campuses, the College operates 15 student-only chartered bus routes for those living in areas not directly covered by local providers.
These private services are run exclusively for Overnewton students, offering a safe and efficient way to travel to and from school.
Routes span suburbs across Melbourne’s west and north-west, with reliable scheduling to ensure students arrive on time.
Other Local Bus Services
Several local bus companies run daily routes to both campuses. Students are welcome to use these services as part of their daily commute.
Families are encouraged to contact the bus operators directly or visit their websites for up-to-date timetables. Public Transport Victoria also offers a Journey Planner to assist with mapping the most efficient route to and from school.

We acknowledge and pay respect to the Marin Balluk people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which Overnewton Anglican Community College stands. We respect the knowledge that will be forever embedded within the Aboriginal Custodianship of Country and remember the loss of cultures, languages and Lands they have endured. Like the Marin Balluk people, we at Overnewton want to respect the Land, the cultures and the heritages, and learn from those who have come before us in the passing on of knowledge and the teaching of life skills, as well as continue with wise stewardship of our buildings and grounds. We honour their custodianship of this Land and offer them our deep respect.
