Out of the Blue Rocks the Festival of Music
Our Festival of Music continued as the rock tradition of Out of the Blue took on a new energy on the huge stage at Musicland - an authentic live music venue providing the perfect backdrop for our College rock bands.
Featuring students across a range of year levels, the concert showcased the talent, creativity and musicianship of our young performers through a dynamic program of rock and contemporary favourites. There were plenty of highlights, including the “superband” performance of Golden, and the original instrumental compositions by EJPJ.
Congratulations to all of the students involved for their fantastic performances, and to the staff who supported and encouraged them throughout the preparation and performance. What a way to celebrate the energy and excitement of live music!
We acknowledge and pay respect to the Marin Balluk people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which Overnewton Anglican Community College stands. We respect the knowledge that will be forever embedded within the Aboriginal Custodianship of Country and remember the loss of cultures, languages and Lands they have endured. Like the Marin Balluk people, we at Overnewton want to respect the Land, the cultures and the heritages, and learn from those who have come before us in the passing on of knowledge and the teaching of life skills, as well as continue with wise stewardship of our buildings and grounds. We honour their custodianship of this Land and offer them our deep respect.
