Overnewton Takes The Stage in Opera Australia’s Carmen
Year 6 student Miles and clarinet teacher Robin Henry are sharing the spotlight in Opera Australia’s Melbourne season of Carmen at the Regent Theatre.
Miles has secured a coveted and highly sought-after role in the Children’s Chorus following Opera Australia’s competitive audition process – an incredible achievement for this strong, committed and multi-talented Performing Arts student.
A familiar face in Overnewton’s own productions, Miles has held principal roles in our recent Year 5/6 musicals, Aladdin (2024) and Frozen (2025). He is also the lead singer of The Froggy Band in our Rock Band Program, a member of the 5/6 Choir, and plays trombone in the Burrito Band.
Meanwhile, Robin brings his exceptional musicianship to the orchestra for this celebrated production of Carmen.
