Triple National Title for Rising Boxing Star Orlando
Year 9 student Orlando has been crowned the Under 17 National Boys 50kg Champion at the Australian Schools Championships in Darwin. This is Orlando's third national title, following wins in 2022 (Under 15) and 2023 (Under 17).
Since first stepping into the boxing gym in 2022, Orlando’s dedication to the sport has seen him train up to twice a day and compete at the national and international level. He recently competed at the AIS and will soon take on the world representing Australia at the Under 17 World Championships in Japan.
As part of the Victorian Pathway Program, which supports athletes with Olympic potential, Orlando has his sights firmly set on the Olympic Games.
