Nestled high on the hills overlooking the Maribyrnong River valley in Keilor, the Yirramboi Campus is home to our Middle and Senior Schools. Designed to deliver an exceptional educational experience, the campus features a range of specialised, purpose-built learning centres that support students through every stage of their schooling.
Across the campus, buildings and grounds have been thoughtfully arranged to foster a strong sense of belonging within each school. Contemporary, award-winning learning environments encourage cooperative, collaborative, and self-directed learning, while the expansive 23-hectare setting provides ample space for outdoor exploration and informal learning.
Yirramboi’s unique natural surrounds offer an ever-present connection to the environment, which continues to shape learning and community life. Sustainability is a growing focus, with our student and parent sustainability teams driving initiatives that promote environmental awareness and support ongoing improvements across the campus.
Home to our Junior School and Year 9 Centre, located in Taylors Lakes, the Canowindra Campus offers a dynamic and engaging learning environment designed to enhance the educational experience for our students. The campus features thoughtfully designed spaces that promote collaboration, creativity, and independent study, with light-filled areas that encourage improved focus and wellbeing. Students enjoy flexible learning environments, whether working in groups or exploring individually in quiet, dedicated spaces.
A key highlight of the campus is the strong connection to nature. With seamless indoor/outdoor learning opportunities, students can engage with the natural world through access to surrounding decks, courtyards, and outdoor classrooms. The Junior School’s design, particularly the Prep–Year 2 building, which has been nominated for a prestigious design award, reflects the philosophy of the natural environment being the third teacher.
Beyond the classrooms, the Canowindra Campus offers abundant facilities, including multiple playground stations, sandpits, a full size soccer pitch, a sports oval, and a double court gymnasium. These spaces, along with an emphasis on sustainability and hands-on learning, provide students with endless opportunities for growth and exploration.

We acknowledge and pay respect to the Marin Balluk people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which Overnewton Anglican Community College stands. We respect the knowledge that will be forever embedded within the Aboriginal Custodianship of Country and remember the loss of cultures, languages and Lands they have endured. Like the Marin Balluk people, we at Overnewton want to respect the Land, the cultures and the heritages, and learn from those who have come before us in the passing on of knowledge and the teaching of life skills, as well as continue with wise stewardship of our buildings and grounds. We honour their custodianship of this Land and offer them our deep respect.
