Welcome to the 2027 School Year

Welcome to another year of learning, connection and growth in the Overnewton Junior School community. We look forward to working in partnership with families to support each student's learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging.

First Day of School

All Junior School students commence at the Canowindra Campus, Taylors Lakes, on Thursday 4 February 2027.

Prep Students

During the initial weeks, Prep students will follow a staggered finish time arrangement to support their transition to school.

Week 1 Half Day - 12.30pm finish

Week 2 Extended Day - 2.30pm finish

Week 3 onwards Full School Day - 3.25pm finish

Morning Arrival

Students should not arrive on campus before 8.30am unless attending Before School Care, as the grounds are not supervised before this time. Classroom doors open at 8.45am, allowing students time to unpack and prepare for the day. The morning bell rings at 8.50am, with the school day commencing at 8.55am. Timetables will indicate days when students are required to wear PE uniform and bring their library books. Drop-off, Collection and Parking

Please familiarise yourself with the entry and collection arrangements for your child's Year Level and Home Group before the first day of school. Our Campus map identifies key locations, including designated gates and collection areas. We ask that families closely follow the arrangements communicated by the Junior School and allow plenty of time for parking and walking to campus.
