Celebrating Achievement at Presentation Night 2026
We were delighted to welcome our community to Presentation Night at the Melbourne Town Hall, celebrating the achievements, contributions and service of our students.
The evening featured major awards, exceptional student performances and reflections from our student and College leaders. We also inducted our newly elected College Student Executive for 2027 and farewelled our Year 12 Class of 2026 as they prepare for their final weeks of learning at Overnewton.
This year, we were proud to introduce two new College awards for students in Years 5–11, recognising their achievements and contributions.
We also paid tribute to outgoing Board Chair Mr John Durow, thanking him for his dedicated service to Overnewton, including his years as Chair since 2017. We warmly welcomed our new Board Chair and Old Collegian, Ms Renee Bowman, and our 2025 College Dux, Nathan Yuan.
Congratulations to all award recipients and to the Class of 2026 as they approach the conclusion of their time at Overnewton.
We acknowledge and pay respect to the Marin Balluk people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which Overnewton Anglican Community College stands. We respect the knowledge that will be forever embedded within the Aboriginal Custodianship of Country and remember the loss of cultures, languages and Lands they have endured. Like the Marin Balluk people, we at Overnewton want to respect the Land, the cultures and the heritages, and learn from those who have come before us in the passing on of knowledge and the teaching of life skills, as well as continue with wise stewardship of our buildings and grounds. We honour their custodianship of this Land and offer them our deep respect.
