Come Together Concert Showcases the Strength of Music at Overnewton

May 12, 2026 8:35 AM
Middle and upper secondary school aged Performing Arts students playing in the Symphonic Band at Overnewton's Annual Come Together 2026 concert held at the Clocktower Centre, Moonee Ponds.

A wonderful evening of music at the Clocktower Centre saw our students take to the stage for the annual Come Together concert.

With performances spanning Big Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, String Orchestra, Junior Strings, Little Big Band, Gravity Band and our Year 3–12 Choirs, the program reflected both the breadth and depth of music across the College. A special highlight was a preview from Oliver!, our 2026 College Musical.

We warmly congratulate the 250 students involved for their commitment, musicianship and confident performances, along with our ensemble leaders who guided the evening so capably. Thank you to our near-capacity audience for your continued support of the Performing Arts at Overnewton.

We acknowledge and pay respect to the Marin Balluk people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which Overnewton Anglican Community College stands. We respect the knowledge that will be forever embedded within the Aboriginal Custodianship of Country and remember the loss of cultures, languages and Lands they have endured. Like the Marin Balluk people, we at Overnewton want to respect the Land, the cultures and the heritages, and learn from those who have come before us in the passing on of knowledge and the teaching of life skills, as well as continue with wise stewardship of our buildings and grounds. We honour their custodianship of this Land and offer them our deep respect.
