Connections, Music and Community Shine at Canowindra Campus Parent Information Evening
It was wonderful to welcome so many of our Canowindra Campus families to our inaugural Parent Information Evening.
Despite the inclement weather, the evening was exceptionally well attended and filled with a genuine spirit of warmth and connection. Our College Leadership Team enjoyed rolling up their sleeves to cook and serve at the Sausage Sizzle, while also connecting with families at our information booths. We were also delighted to have our Year 9 rock band perform, showcasing the impressive musical talents of our students and adding great energy to the evening.
The event provided a valuable opportunity for parents to meet other families and staff before heading into the Year Level presentations, setting the tone for a strong and connected year ahead.
We now look forward to welcoming our Yirramboi Campus families on Monday evening, with a balmy forecast on the horizon.
We acknowledge and pay respect to the Marin Balluk people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which Overnewton Anglican Community College stands. We respect the knowledge that will be forever embedded within the Aboriginal Custodianship of Country and remember the loss of cultures, languages and Lands they have endured. Like the Marin Balluk people, we at Overnewton want to respect the Land, the cultures and the heritages, and learn from those who have come before us in the passing on of knowledge and the teaching of life skills, as well as continue with wise stewardship of our buildings and grounds. We honour their custodianship of this Land and offer them our deep respect.
