Farewell to the Class of 2026
It was a memorable day of reflection, celebration and farewells as we marked the final day at Overnewton for the Class of 2026.
Students, families and staff came together on Friday for a special Chapel service, morning tea and Valedictory Assembly, with engaging speeches and brilliant musical performances recognising the journey and achievements of our Year 12 students.
A guard of honour provided a fitting send-off, as the College community gathered to celebrate the Class of 2026 and wish them well for the next chapter.
As our students turn their attention to their final exams and the opportunities ahead, we wish them every success and look forward to seeing where their Overnewton journeys take them.
We acknowledge and pay respect to the Marin Balluk people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which Overnewton Anglican Community College stands. We respect the knowledge that will be forever embedded within the Aboriginal Custodianship of Country and remember the loss of cultures, languages and Lands they have endured. Like the Marin Balluk people, we at Overnewton want to respect the Land, the cultures and the heritages, and learn from those who have come before us in the passing on of knowledge and the teaching of life skills, as well as continue with wise stewardship of our buildings and grounds. We honour their custodianship of this Land and offer them our deep respect.
