State Stage Success for Overnewton Netballers
We are proud to share a fantastic achievement for three of our Overnewton netballers, who recently competed at the Under 15 State Netball Titles at the State Netball Centre.
Congratulations to Grace, Lucy and Ava on their selection following a highly competitive trial process and their outstanding performances across 17 rounds of competition.
In a highlight of the tournament, Grace’s Elmer team faced Lucy and Ava’s Jika side in a thrilling semi-final, decided by just one goal in what was widely regarded as one of the best matches of the event. Adding to the moment, the Jika team is coached by Overnewton’s First Team coach, Jenna Astwood!
We are also proud to share that Lucy has been identified through Netball Victoria’s Talent Identification program and will trial for 2027 Talent Academy and State team pathways later this year.
We look forward to cheering all three students on as they continue their representative season and take to the court again at the upcoming Association Championships.

We acknowledge and pay respect to the Marin Balluk people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which Overnewton Anglican Community College stands. We respect the knowledge that will be forever embedded within the Aboriginal Custodianship of Country and remember the loss of cultures, languages and Lands they have endured. Like the Marin Balluk people, we at Overnewton want to respect the Land, the cultures and the heritages, and learn from those who have come before us in the passing on of knowledge and the teaching of life skills, as well as continue with wise stewardship of our buildings and grounds. We honour their custodianship of this Land and offer them our deep respect.
