Uniform Expectations
Students are expected to wear the Overnewton uniform in full, with care and pride, both at school and when travelling to and from campus. The uniform policy outlines expectations around seasonal uniforms, appropriate footwear, grooming standards and the wearing of blazers and hats at designated times of the year. These guidelines support a consistent and respectful presentation across the College and help foster a strong sense of belonging and identity.
Blazers
All students are required to wear their College blazer from home into school whether arriving by car, bus or on foot. The same applies when leaving school at any time of the day.
Blazers are required to be worn at all official College functions.
When the forecast temperature is 30°C or higher, or as directed by the Head of School or Head of Campus, students are not required to wear their blazers when travelling to and from school.
Sports Uniform
The College sports uniform is only worn on days when students have timetabled Physical Education classes and selected electives or specialist subjects as communicated via Compass.
Students in Years 5 & 6 will also need to wear their Sports Uniform each Friday in preparation for 5/6 Sport (SSV) during Periods 1 & 2.
Students in Year 7 are to wear their Sports Uniform every Tuesday, and students in Year 8 every Thursday, in preparation for afternoon ACS (Association of Co-educational Schools) sport.
Sports Shoes: Runners are to be worn with the sports uniform. These must provide support and have adequate sole grip for a variety of activities on a range of surfaces. Street/skate shoes are not to be worn.
